The 4 Mandatory IBPS / SBI Document Uploads

Banking recruitment exams conducted by IBPS (PO, Clerk, SO, RRB) and State Bank of India (SBI PO, Junior Associates / Clerk) require candidates to upload four distinct digital assets during the single-window registration:

  1. Passport Photograph (200 ร— 230 pixels, 20 KB - 50 KB)
  2. Scanned Signature (140 ร— 60 pixels, 10 KB - 20 KB)
  3. Left Thumb Impression (240 ร— 240 pixels, 20 KB - 50 KB)
  4. Handwritten Declaration in Candidateโ€™s Handwriting (800 ร— 400 pixels, 50 KB - 100 KB)

Complete Banking Document Upload Specifications Table

Document File Size Dimensions Format & Ink
1. Passport Photo 20 KB โ€“ 50 KB 200 ร— 230 px (4.5 ร— 3.5 cm) JPG/JPEG, Light background
2. Signature 10 KB โ€“ 20 KB 140 ร— 60 px Black ink on white paper (NO CAPITAL letters)
3. Left Thumb Impression 20 KB โ€“ 50 KB 240 ร— 240 px (3 ร— 3 cm) Blue or Black ink pad on white paper
4. Handwritten Declaration 50 KB โ€“ 100 KB 800 ร— 400 px (10 ร— 5 cm) Black ink on white paper (in English only)

Exact Handwritten Declaration Text & Format

The text for the declaration must be written in English by the candidate in their own handwriting. It must NOT be typed, written by anyone else, or written in CAPITAL LETTERS.

"I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

Signatures or declarations written in Hindi, regional languages, or typed fonts are strictly invalid for IBPS portals.

Left Thumb Impression Scans: Contrast & Blue/Black Ink

When stamping your left thumb on white paper:

  • Use an ink pad with moderate ink. Excessive wet ink will create a black smudge where individual dermal ridges cannot be discerned.
  • Press gently once without twisting or sliding your thumb.
  • If a candidate has no left thumb, they may use their right thumb and indicate so in the application form.
  • Use our Thumb Impression Resizer Tool to automatically enhance ridge contrast and lock exact 20KB-50KB size.

How to Prepare All 4 Documents in 5 Minutes

  1. Take clear pictures of your documents in bright daylight.
  2. Open the Exam Photo Resizer and select the IBPS Bank Photo preset (locks 200 ร— 230 px, ~35 KB).
  3. Select the IBPS Bank Signature preset (locks 140 ร— 60 px, ~15 KB).
  4. Switch to the Thumb Impression Resizer and pick the IBPS Thumb preset (locks 240 ร— 240 px, ~30 KB).
  5. For your declaration, crop the text, resize to 800 ร— 400 px, and compress between 60 KB and 80 KB.

Common Mistakes that Invalidate Banking Applications

  • Uploading Someone Elseโ€™s Declaration: Candidates getting forms filled at cyber cafes often end up with the cyber cafe operator's handwriting uploaded. Biometric and forensic handwriting verification at Document Verification (DV) will result in criminal debarment.
  • Blurry Thumbprint: If the thumbprint is an unreadable blotch, bank HR portals will reject the upload.
  • Capital Letter Signatures: IBPS algorithms flag and disqualify block-letter signatures.
